Morocco Itineraries — Every Private Tour We Run, in One Place

─────── ◈ ───────

Planning a Morocco trip involves one question that most travelers spend too long trying to answer before they’ve started: which itinerary is right for me? The answer depends on three things — where you’re starting from, how many days you have, and where your trip needs to end. Everything else follows from those three decisions.

This page lists every Morocco itinerary we offer, organized by departure city. Every tour runs privately — your own vehicle, your own English-speaking driver-guide, and a schedule that belongs entirely to your group. Every route can be adjusted through our tailor made Morocco tours service if the published itinerary doesn’t quite match what you’re looking for. And every tour on this page — regardless of departure city — passes through the Sahara’s Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga, where Your Desert Home luxury camp provides the overnight desert experience.

Browse by departure city below, or use the duration guide at the bottom of this page if you know how many days you have but haven’t decided where to start.

Casablanca Desert Tours

Casablanca is Morocco’s main international airport and the most natural starting point for travelers flying in from Europe, North America, or the Middle East. Every Casablanca itinerary covers more ground than the equivalent tour from Fes or Marrakech — because the route south passes through Chefchaouen, Fes, and the Middle Atlas before reaching the desert.

Our most relaxing 15-day Morocco tour from Casablanca. Two free days, one in Chefchaouen and one in Essaouira, plus the Sahara, Fes, and Marrakech.

Marrakech Desert Tours

Marrakech is the closest major city to the High Atlas Mountains, giving every tour from here a natural southward arc — through the mountains, into the pre-Saharan plains, and out to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Round-trip routes bring you back to Marrakech. One-way routes end in Fes.

The fastest way to reach Erg Chebbi and back. Ait Ben Haddou, a sunset camel trek, and one night in a luxury desert camp.

The quickest way to connect Marrakech and Fes via the Sahara, with one night in a desert camp along the way.

Our most booked itinerary. Adds Todra Gorge and Dades Valley to the classic Erg Chebbi route.
Todra Gorge and Dades Valley added to the crossing, without adding an extra night on the road.

Same 3 days, different priority — two full nights in Merzouga, including a Nomadic family visit.

The classic loop, extended to include the rarely visited Telouet Kasbah on the return journey.

A full day exploring Merzouga — nomads, Khamlia, hidden villages — before continuing north to Fes.

A full day exploring Merzouga itself — a Nomadic family visit and Khamlia’s Gnawa music included.

Our most off-the-beaten-path route — a mountain cave family visit and the Monkey Fingers Canyon hike.

The least rushed round trip we offer — shorter driving days and the hidden Telouet Kasbah.

The only tour that adds a full guided city tour of the Fes medina itself — Rissani and Erfoud included too.

Sahara, three imperial cities, Volubilis, and Chefchaouen’s blue streets — ending on the coast in Tangier.

Everything in the 8-day tour, plus a guided day in Marrakech itself and two days on the Atlantic coast at Essaouira.

Fes Desert Tours

Fes sits closer to the Sahara than travelers often expect. The route south crosses the Middle Atlas Mountains—Ifrane’s alpine streets, Azrou’s cedar forest and Barbary macaques, and the Ziz Valley palm oasis—before reaching the dunes.

Our 2-day desert tour from Fes takes you to the Erg Chebbi dunes in just one day. Camel riding, luxury desert camp, and sunrise over the Sahara.

2-day tour from Fes to Marrakech through the Sahara Erg Chebbi camel trek, luxury desert camp, and Ait Benhaddou. Middle Atlas. Private tours.

The most complete 10-day Morocco tour from Fes. A full loop: Volubilis, Meknes, Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, and the Sahara—all ending back in Fes.

Tours from Tangier

Tangier is where most travelers from Europe arrive by ferry or by plane from northern airports. Starting here means the route moves naturally south—through the Rif Mountains, the imperial cities, the Middle Atlas, and the Sahara—in a single uninterrupted arc.

Travel from Tangier to Marrakech in 5 days via Chefchaouen, Fes, and the Sahara. The Camel Trek, Todra Gorge, and Ait Benhaddou were included.

How To Choose Your Morocco Itinerary

─────── ◈ ───────

Not sure where to start? Answer these three questions:

  1. Where does your trip begin and end? If your flight arrives and departs from the same city, choose a round-trip or circular tour from that city. If you arrive in one city and fly home from another, choose a one-way crossing between them — Casablanca to Marrakech and Tangier to Marrakech are the two most natural one-way routes.
  2. How many days do you have? As a general guide: 5 to 6 days covers the essentials without rushing. 7 to 9 days allows each city and the desert proper time. 10 days or more means you can include the Atlantic coast, extended free days, or a full dedicated Merzouga desert day on top of the standard camel trek.
  3. What matters most to you? If the desert is your priority, look for tours with a dedicated Day 2 in Merzouga (labelled “full Sahara day” above). If the imperial cities matter equally, choose an itinerary that gives Fes a full guided day rather than combining sightseeing with a driving day. If the Atlantic coast is part of what draws you to Morocco, the 12-day and longer Casablanca or Tangier itineraries include Essaouira.

↝ Frequently Asked Questions

Private Morocco Itineraries FAQ

Which Morocco itinerary is most popular?

The 3 and 4-day tours from Marrakech are the most booked for travelers mid-trip. For complete first-time Morocco circuits, the 7-day and 8-day routes from Casablanca or Tangier consistently rank highest—enough days to cover the key regions without feeling rushed.

Yes—most of our Casablanca, Fes, and Tangier tours end in Marrakech by design. The one-way structure works naturally because Marrakech has its own international airport. If you need to return to your departure city, look for circular itineraries (the 13-day Tangier loop and the 10-day Fes loop both return to the starting city).

Yes — every tour of 3 days or more includes at least one overnight at Your Desert Home luxury camp in Erg Chebbi. The 2-day tours from Marrakech and Fes include the camel trek and the desert overnight but return the following morning. Longer tours include a dedicated Merzouga exploration day in addition to the overnight

Every tour on this page is genuinely private—your own vehicle, carrying only your group, for the entire trip. No shared buses, no fixed departure times set by other travelers, and no itinerary decisions made by a group you didn’t choose. The vehicle and driver belong to your group from pickup to drop-off.

For tours that include a desert camp night, we recommend booking at least 5 days ahead—and 2 to 3 weeks ahead during high season in March, April, October, and November, when camp availability fills quickly. For longer circuits of 10 days or more, earlier booking gives more flexibility in hotel and camp selection.
